Scope of Experience

Giancarlo "GC" Carriero brings 20 years of deep and diverse Commercial Real Estate experience to his leadership role as head of the NAI Robert Lynn Dallas Retail Division. He has completed hundreds of transactions totaling nearly 2 million square feet and over $300 million in value. GC focuses on landlord leasing, tenant representation, and commercial land sales.

Background & Experience

GC has played vital roles in leasing, asset management, acquisitions, development, equity raising, dispositions, redevelopment, business development, and strategic consulting. He has worked for a range of institutional and entrepreneurial platforms including Port San Antonio, Brookfield Retail (formerly GGP), Cypress Equities, The MGHerring Group, Tricom Real Estate Group, and DuWest Realty, and has worked on projects across the United States.

His past institutional and private clients include Victory Real Estate Group, Blazing Hospitality, DeLaVega Capital, 42 Real Estate, CoreSpaces, Sapphire Bay, Charter Holdings, The Carlyle Group, Contrarian Capital, Arrow Retail, Brixton Capital, Rialto Capital, Liberty University, The Krausz Company, Macquarie Capital, CIII Capital Partners, AEW Capital Management, and Singerman Real Estate. He has also represented and advised many tenant clients, including Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, Removery, Cake Bar, Wings Over USA, Bocca Osteria Romana, Total Wireless & Woodhouse Day Spa.

Originally from San Antonio, TX, GC earned a B.A. in Political Science from Trinity University and has called the DFW area home for nearly 18 years. He holds a Texas Real Estate Salesperson License, the Certified Leasing Specialist (CLS) designation from ICSC, and the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.

He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Urban Land Institute (ULI), and the CCIM Institute. His volunteer leadership roles have included serving as Texas Operations Co-Chair for ICSC, a National Next Gen Leadership Board Member for ICSC, and a Committee Member for the ICSC Red River States Conference. He is also a 2019–2020 ULI Young Leaders Alumni.

GC is fluent in Spanish and holds European Union citizenship. He is a member of C-Life Church in Sunnyvale, TX., and enjoys spending his free time with his two young daughters and son, BBQing, watching sports, snowboarding, playing soccer, and traveling.
